The Sly Family is here from Indianapolis, IN !!

Thank you Tia Lila, Tio Brian and Tommy for coming to visit baby Luca all the way from Indy... we were so glad you guys came to spend some time with us.... Tia Lila was pregnant with baby Victoria at the time!

GOOD TIMES WITH LUCA!!!

This blog tells a little bit about our beautiful journey with our pride and joy baby boy: LUCA!

On Luca’s 2nd day of life we found out he was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot that could only be repaired by open heart surgery. Needless to say, we had lost our grounds...but our love for Luca was stronger than any pain and we found strength to help him fight for his life...

Luca's full TOF repair operation was successfully done on 10/30/08 at the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles when he was only 8 months old. His surgeon was Dr. Vaughn Starnes and his cardiologist was Dr. Jackie Szmuszkovicz...Luca has recovered really fast and well from that surgery.

Now, a couple years later, in October 2010, after a heart catheterization and angiogram we found out he'll have to go thru one more open heart surgery to correct yet another anomaly only now discovered! Our breaths were taken away again and our hearts ripped from our chests with the news...This new surgery will take place again at CHLA on Thurs-Jan 13th/2011 and it will be performed by Dr. Starnes.

Thank YOU ALL SO MUCH for your thoughts and prayers AGAIN AND AGAIN! We truly hope this will be IT for a lonnnnnnnnnnng whiiiiiiiiiiile now ;o)
