2008, 2008, 2008.... Ahhhhh what a year to remember and to reflect upon...It is easy to think that the year of 2008 was quite difficult for us... instead, and always trying to keep a positive perspective on everything in life, I like to think that it was a --WONDERFUL-- year for us...
2008... It was the year in which Luca was born and came to enrich our lives. The year in which we lived so many intense emotions. The year in which we got Luca cured successfully, healthy and ready to finally start his new life. The year in which we got sooooo many signs from God. The year in which we felt so blessed and so thankful for the smallest things we normally used to take for granted...
2008.... You thought us SOOOO many incredible lessons... you made us feel stronger, changed forever, and brave enough to face anything from now on... We have been brought closer together to so many wonderful people that we already knew and to those that we got to know along this journey...Friends, relatives, and friends of friends from literally all over the world, came closer to us in thoughts and prayers and demonstrated so much love and care... So much solidarity... So much support... So much compassion... We are so blessed...
WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH...AMAMOS MUITO VOCES...VI VOGLIAMO TANTO BENE !!!
BYE BYE 2008 --- WELCOME 2009!! ;O) ;O)

We have to count our blessings in so many ways... We are fortunate enough to also open our bedroom window every morning to see this sight... The San Bernardino Mountains look so beautiful this time of the year when they are covered with snow... And that's actually the way we like snow around here.... far-far away on the top of the mountains just to give us a pretty view to look at every morning...and that's it ;o) ;o)

Here I am already in my stroller (12/30/08) cruising around Carmel-by-the-Sea... what a beauuuuuutiful little town...

The above 5 pictures were taken at the beach in Carmel ...we were just walking around and enjoying the gorgeous day by the ocean...

2008 is leaving us...

Us walking around the town of Carmel...

Here we took a walk around this shopping area... it had lots of nice flowers all over...

Morning of 12/31/08, right outside our hotel room...very nice and relaxing view we had....

Here we were enjoying a very nice sunny day at the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey...

I was sucking and chewing on my cheese puff "cigar" here... those are soooooo good... By now I also like to pose for my mom's camera too, can you tell?? I gotta play along, I have no choice ;0)

With daddy where we stopped to have lunch... we had a great time watching all that view and listening to all the sounds... SOOOO peaceful and relaxing... Seafood was great too! ;o) We just love seafood, we could eat it everyday... ;o)

Still at the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey...by this time in the afternoon it actually got pretty warm (around 70's F) and this whole day could not get any better...

Then we decided to go for a car ride along the 17-Mile Drive....

Mommy's sending everyone a HUGE hug and welcoming the new year at Pebble Beach...

Daddy caught mommy meditating about this past year and contemplating this lovely Pacific Ocean...this was still on 12/31/08... What a year full of emotions...How blessed we are... What a big roller coaster ride, I tell ya... ;o) ;o) ;o)

Now you know why it's called Pebble Beach... ;o)

Daddy wanted to be on that golf course so badly.... BUT... he still managed to say it was much more important to be with us right now... What a guy you are daddy... WE LOVE YOU TOO!! ;o)

This was just a cool tricycle that was riding along the coast... so many interesting people we see around here... people really know how to enjoy life...

A couple sights from the 17-Mile Drive... needless to say: GORGEOUS!! Can't wait to come back here in the summer sometime...
As a matter of fact, you are ALL invited to stay at our summer home above when you visit... ;o) Some people have money around here or what???? ... ;o) ;o) Gaio was just mentioning that a lot of these golf courses probably charge around $300 - $400 for a round of golf... unbelievable...

Last sun set of 2008... and now... WELCOME 2009 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;o)

This was me during this whole ENTIRE 17-Mile Drive... I saw it in my dreams....zzzzzzzzzzzz

OK, I am awake now, where are we going next???

The view from our hotel room again... still during the last sun set of 2008!

When we finally got back to the hotel I was wide awake and wanting to play... at this point the night was still young...

At around 7 pm we were back at the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey where they were having a New Years Eve celebration with a Reggae Festival and lots of people walking around.... very nice... too bad we had to cut the night short and could not stay until midnight... next time when I am a bit older...

Still at the Reggae Festival... I was bundled up all right... ;o)

At the restaurant, my parents were trying to have a nice New Years dinner but.... I just wanted to play, make a mess everywhere, touch all that crossed my view, throw everything on the floor, etc...just like a regular kid...my parents are the ones still not too used to all this yet....eheheh... I was loving it...

At the restaurant giving my mommy lots of kisses...

Now here, I was sound asleep already and my parents, back at the hotel room, were partying to celebrate the New Year!!! ;o) They actually popped the bottle in the bathroom not to wake me up...now how sad is that??? ehehehe.... the things you have to do when you have a wonderful baby like me ;o) All part of the fun... again, WELCOME 2009, we are ready for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waking up with daddy on his birthday... January 1st, 2009!!!! HAPPY B-DAY DADDY!!!!! WE LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH....Thank you for being such a wonderful father and husband to us!!! U Rock and Roll ;o) ;o)

Hey, I also celebrated the new year...

But mommy, wait a minute, where are we, what year is this, why didn't you wake me up to see 2009 arrive, what is this thing on my head, what is going on, who am I now????? LOL ;o)

Happy 39th B-day again daddy... you mean the world to us... the foundation to our family... ;o)

Now we are in Santa Barbara... we decided to stay one more night out before we go home... This was while we were downtown! Very cute little town also.... First time we've ever been there!

Hmmmmm....this new toy was so tasty...
